Gavin is a member of the investment department and has specific responsibilities within our investment support unit. He joined Speirs & Jeffrey in December 2007 from Charles Stanley where he provided advice and research to institutional clients, predominantly on UK smaller companies.
Gavin graduated from the University of Paisley with an honours degree in business economics. After university he competed as a full-time amateur golfer for a couple of years before turning professional in 1996 and moving to Florida. Injury unfortunately helped bring an end to his golfing aspirations and he then joined Barclays Stockbrokers in 1999. He is a Member of the Chartered Securities and Investment Institute.
