Alex graduated from the University of Strathclyde with a degree in business administration. He has thirty years of investment experience under his belt, most of which was gained at Scottish Mutual, where he was part of the team that managed the life fund, pension funds and unit trusts. After a spell as a trader with HSBC he returned to fund management with Bell Lawrie (Brewin Dolphin) where he looked after a variety of clients, many on a discretionary basis.
Alex provides support for Graeme Dickie and his institutional investment experience is very relevant in providing advice to some of our larger charity clients.
