Although a relative "new boy" at Speirs & Jeffrey, Alex's experience of institutional investment is very relevant in providing advice to some of our larger charity clients.
Alex was born in 1952 and graduated from the University of Strathclyde with a degree in Business Administration after which he joined Great Northern Investment Trust as a trainee analyst. Alex has 28 years of investment experience under his belt, most of which was gained at Scottish Mutual, where he was part of the team that managed the life fund, pension funds and unit trusts. After a spell as a trader with HSBC he returned to fund management with Bell Lawrie where he looked after a variety of clients, many on a discretionary basis.
