Steven is the firm's Finance Director and Compliance Officer. In addition to these responsibilities, he also oversees the smooth running of the back office functions.
Steven was born in 1964 and graduated from Glasgow University with a Degree in accountancy. Afterwards he qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG where, as Auditor, he assisted S&J through the various regulatory changes back in the 1980s. Steven joined S&J in 1999 having spent a decade working with a Scottish conglomerate involved in manufacturing, distribution, property and construction. He became a Speirs & Jeffrey Director in 2000, the first to have no direct client responsibilities.
