In addition to advising and managing varied client portfolios Russell is the director responsible for training - an increasingly important facet of the business.
Russell was born in 1960 and graduated from the University of Wales in Cardiff with a degree in economics. After graduating, Russell began a career in banking before moving into fund management in 1988. He was a fund manager with Murray Johnstone and then Norwich Union before joining S&J in 1997. He became a Director in 1999.
Outside S&J, Russell is actively involved in the management of several charities. He is a Governor of St. Columba's School, Kilmacolm and the Late Collector of the Incorporation of Hammermen of Glasgow.
