Jimmy McCulloch's role as Chairman and Chief Executive involves overseeing many administrative functions throughout the firm although the bulk of his time is spent managing and advising on client portfolios. His client base covers the full spectrum of the firm's clients, including individuals and families, as well as pension funds and a range of charitable and non charitable organisations.
Jimmy was born in 1954 and graduated from Stirling University with a degree in accountancy, business law and economics. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Coopers & Lybrand in 1979 and joined S & J in 1982. He became a partner/director in 1985.
Jimmy's external activities include his recent appointment to the Board of the Association of Private Client Investment Managers and Stockbrokers (APCIMS). He has been a Governor of Glasgow Academy where he served for over nine years, latterly as Finance Convenor. He chaired the Scottish Stock Exchange Sports Committee for seven years, including their annual charity dinner. He has been a regular contributor on local and national radio on investment matters over the years.
