As Chairman and Chief Executive Jimmy oversees many administrative functions throughout the firm although the bulk of his time is spent managing and advising on a full spectrum of client portfolios.
Jimmy graduated from Stirling University with a degree in accountancy, business law and economics. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Coopers & Lybrand in 1979 and joined Speirs & Jeffrey in 1982. He became a director in 1985.
Jimmy's many external activities include his membership of the Board of the Association of Private Client Investment Managers and Stockbrokers (APCIMS). He is currently President of The Glasgow Academicals Club
