Donald advises a wide range of clients and also makes his extensive knowledge of, and contacts in the financial sectors of the market available to our research team.
Donald was born in 1964 and attended the University of Strathclyde and then the University of Glasgow where he attained, respectively, a BSc (Hons) in applied microbiology and a PhD in microbiology. Before joining S&J in 2002 Donald gained extensive experience of fund management and research first in Glasgow with Scottish Amicable and then in London with Aviva where he became Head of Research.
Amongst Donald's external interests are Shelter (Scotland) and the Incorporation of Weavers, in the Trades House of Glasgow.
